Development and Donor Relations Coordinator
The Childhood League Center is seeking an energetic, goal-oriented Development and Donor Relations Coordinator to complement our newly launched development program. Working in partnership with the Development Director and Executive Director, this position is responsible for maintaining an effective donor relations program, management of the Center's donor database, overseeing the gift acceptance and acknowledgment process and the coordination of events, meetings, programs and other initiatives designed to enhance positive relations with all donors. In addition, this position presents a unique opportunity to support the success of a capital campaign. The candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated and analytical.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing all functions related to donor database management and data integrity.
Tracking and documenting the progress of donor cultivation and solicitation activities for annual and capital campaign initiatives.
Ensuring acknowledgement of all gifts is performed in an accurate and timely fashion.
Implementing and facilitating a first-time donor program and supporting other donor recognition activities.
Supporting annual and campaign initiatives including events, mailings, solicitations, list management, day of event activities and follow-up.
Providing stewardship and direct support to the Board of Directors, including preparation of all materials for board and board committee meetings, communications, correspondence and other items as needed.
Scheduling, coordinating and documenting meetings and appointments as required for the capital campaign and other annual activities.
Perform other development-related duties and support as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated proficiency using a fundraising database system (e.g. eTapestry, Raiser's Edge)
A bachelor's degree
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a fast-paced, development and nonprofit environment
Experience working with community volunteers
Ability to manage confidential information with appropriate discretion is essential
Excellent oral and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
A strong decision-making skill, attentive listener, willingness to search out answers
Strong technology and presentation skills
