VICE PRESIDENT OF CONSTITUENT GIVING

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is currently seeking a Vice President of Constituent Giving to join NCH Foundation. This individual works to achieve the short and long-term strategic, philanthropic and financial goals of the Foundation. Responsibilities include: the identification, education, cultivation, solicitation, recognition and stewardship of major gift contributors on behalf of Nationwide Children's Hospital’s Centers of Excellence (Neonatology, Heart Center, Hematology/Oncology, Research); working closely with the leadership teams of each Center of Excellence to identify, strategize and implement fundraising activities to benefit their Center; serving as liaison between the Centers of Excellence and the senior leadership team of the Foundation. Additional responsibilities may include: providing input to Donor Relations as it relates to major gift contributors to ensure the Foundation is an excellent trustee of the philanthropic contributions received and the donors receive proper recognition; developing and managing the operating budget for Constituent Giving.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree and understanding of all development specialties required.
Master’s Degree in related field preferred.
Five to ten years of fund raising experience required.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to be a team player and display diplomacy/political savvy.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain professional composure in stressful situations.
Skillful in developing and maintaining long-term relationships with high-end contributors and prospects who have the ability to make significant gifts.
Ability to be entrusted with personal and confidential information and make ethical decisions.
