Title of Position: Development & Communications Administrator
Pay: $14/hr; 25 hours a week
Status: Non-exempt, Part-time
Benefits: Pension and pro-rated portion of holiday and paid leave.
Reports to: Development Director Unit: Development & Communications
BASIC FUNCTION
This position is responsible for working with the Development Director to implement the overall development and communications strategy for the organization. Provides primary project and process management as well as administrative support in all areas of Development and Communications.

This position is primarily concerned with the achievement of the goals for the organization by securing philanthropic and public resources for the long and short-term future of the organization, and by communicating achievements to the public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the database components of the annual Together Rebuilding Lives luncheon including
preparation of all solicitation letters/packets, assisting with seating for the event, tracking donations,
preparing reports, preparation of the final event evaluation and other projects as requested.
2. Manage CSB website including updating information as requested; process planning and
management; coordination of component production with appropriate staff; updating, proofing and
editing of development materials; coordination with webmaster, and manage webmaster contract.
3. Manage Raiser’s Edge development database including establishing policies and procedures
related to data integrity; monitors and limits database access as needed; analyzes database needs
and develops long-term strategy for data entry; creates custom reports via Crystal Reports as
needed. Provide primary support for all staff requesting information from the donor database.
4. Responsible for promptly and accurately entering all deposits/pledges, exporting MIP information
for Finance office, processing all thank you letters, and query of all reports for donations.
5. Administer all aspects of agency rolodex including updating information and creating distribution
lists.
6. Manage the production and printing of letterhead and other printed materials.
7. Organize, coordinate and maintain development files, records and related correspondence; and
ensure orderly, efficient and accessible operation of development and communications office.
Coordinate distribution of press releases, support materials, etc. and do follow-up.
8. Maintain up-to-date departmental accountability documents including Disaster Recovery & Crisis
Communication plan, create communications materials including monthly newsletter – CSB
Communiqu?, and others.
9. Maintain up-to-date organization information in public websites.
10. Manage self and position responsibilities in a manner which is congruent with CSB values, mission,
policies and procedures.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
1. Provide primary back up staffing for Development Director and Chief of Staff. Provide secondary
back up for Administrative Assistant and Program Administrator.
2. Coordinate Development and Communication Team meetings.
3. As needed, assist with meeting set up and clean up.
4. Other duties and projects, as requested.

development and communications database required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Congruence with agency mission and values.
2. At minimum an Associate’s Degree with at least one year development and communications
experience in a non-profit setting.
3. Valid Ohio driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and pass a criminal background check.
4. Experience working with or on behalf of homeless and other disadvantaged populations preferred.
