Director of Development - College of Optometry The Ohio State University Columbus, OH Director of Development - College of Optometry, The Ohio State University, Office of University Development.  The Ohio State University is seeking a Director of Development for the College of Optometry to serve as a major gift officer for the University and provide direction and coordination of fundraising strategies for the College. S/he develops and implements long and short term plans to secure major gifts from alumni, friends, volunteers, corporations, foundations and other entities in support of the college and university's mission, objectives and priorities as set by the Dean. Qualifications:   Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree desired; 2-5 years fundraising experience with a proven record of success in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding annual, special or major gifts from individuals, corporations or foundations strongly desired; excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills required.  Ability to work independently.  Experience in an optometric academic setting, health sciences setting, and/or health care fundraising desired.
