The first recipients of this new award couldn't be more representative of the power of a group of individuals to create and transform an organization. Founded in 1967, this group of women have not only contributed more than $4 million to the Museum as a result of their annual fundraising opportunities, but also volunteer innumerable hours in the Pallette Cafe and other Museum departments.
Outstanding Large Corporation - American Electric Power
American Electric Power and the various AEP entities, including AEP Ohio and the American Electric Power Foundation, have demonstrated commitment, leadership, and philanthropy to the central Ohio community and the State of Ohio. In 2007 alone, its support of broad-based arts activities throughout Ohio totaled in excess of $1 million.
Outstanding Small Corporation - Grip Technology, LLC
A web design and development firm, Grip Technology seeks to not only do good business in Columbus, but also help the many organizations who are their clients and who "do good" within the community. Grip supports the nonprofit community by offering their expertise in web design and development as an in-kind gift or at greatly reduced rates. Organizations who have benefited from their expertise include the Columbus Museum of Art, the Greater Columbus Arts Council, Ballet Met, the Columbus Jazz Arts Group, and the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

With more than 35 years of successful fundraising experience and more than $1.8 billion in annual, capital, and other fundraising campaigns and programs to his credit, Doug Allinger is "the fundraiser's fundraiser."
